Happy new year farmOS community!

2017 was a great year for farmOS!  Lots of new developments, sponsored features, community momentum, and great ideas and discussions on the monthly calls!

I'm excited for 2018!  The new monthy call schedule is posted here:

New release: farmOS 1.0-Beta16

The 16th beta release of farmOS is now available on GitHub and  It's a BIG release with LOTS of new features.

If you have a farmOS site hosted on Farmier, you've already been upgraded automatically.  If you don't, you can try farmOS free for 30 days.

Farmier on Instagram

My wife and I set up an Instagram account for Farmier.  We'll be using it to post farmOS demos, screencasts, ideas, etc - as well as some nice pictures.  Check it out and give us a follow!

Southern SAWG Conference 2018

I will be at the 2018 Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group Conference in Chattanooga, Tennesee this coming January.  There will be a farmOS session on Saturday, January 20th from 9:45am to 11:15am, as well as a farmOS booth in the exhibition hall where you can come talk to me and see farmOS in action.  If you're in the area, please attend!  Conference registration information is available at

Farming for the Future - PASA Winter Conference

Brooks Miller of North Mountain Pastures and I will be hosting a half-day hands-on farmOS workshop at the 2018 Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture's "Farming for the Future" Conference in February.  We will walk through the set up process of a farm in farmOS, and talk about how to make the most of record keeping.  The session will be Thursday, February 8th from 1:30 to 5 pm.  Go to the confererence website to learn more.

Monthly Calls

I host a monthly farmOS call via Google Hangouts for anyone interested in learning more or getting involved.  The next call will be January 10th at 1pm EST / 6pm UTC.
